Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned—and that’s okay! Engagement sessions can throw little surprises our way, whether it’s the weather, traffic, or even a last-minute location change. The truth is, we always find a way to make it work, and sometimes those unexpected changes turn out for the better.
That was the case for Chelsea and Isaias. Their original location didn’t pan out, so we made a quick switch and ended up at Mellon Park in Pittsburgh. To make things even more interesting, a festival was happening at the same time. You’d never know it from their images, though—the park gave us the perfect mix of greenery, architecture, and quiet corners to capture their love story in a way that felt natural and timeless.
One of my favorite parts of this session isn’t just the location or the photos—it’s how Chelsea and Isaias found me. They were referred to me by one of my past couples whose wedding I had the honor of photographing. For me, that’s the highest compliment I could ever receive. When a couple trusts me enough to send their friends or family my way, it means the world. It’s more than just a booking—it’s a testament to the trust and relationships I get to build through this work.
Chelsea and Isaias brought so much joy and authenticity to their session, and it was such a privilege to capture this season of their lives. I can’t wait to celebrate their next chapter together!
