There’s something extra special about photographing couples as their story continues to grow — and this session with Catie and Thad was one of those full-circle moments.
We met at Bramblewood Farms in McDonald, the same beautiful venue where they were married. This time, though, we were there to celebrate an exciting new chapter — their baby announcement!
We started the evening in the flower field, letting the soft glow of golden hour set the tone for a light, romantic feel. As the sun dipped lower, the sky shifted into that dreamy blue hour, and we made our way around the property to a few of the spots that meant the most to them. It was such a joy watching them step back into the same places where they shared their vows — only now, with the anticipation of their little one on the way.
We even recreated a few of their wedding photos, adding a new layer of meaning to images that already carried so much love and memory.
Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do — it’s not just about taking photos, but about preserving chapters of life that tell a family’s story from the very beginning.
