There’s something magical about golden hour in a flower field, and Mackenzie + Dakota’s session at Bramblewood Farm was no exception. Even though we both got stuck in some unexpected Pittsburgh traffic (we’ve all been there ), it was so worth the wait once we finally made it to the fields.

The sun was just starting to dip, casting the prettiest golden glow over the blooms. We spent an hour exploring the flower field, chasing the light, and finding the perfect angles to bring these dreamy photos to life. From soft pops of color to the lush green backdrop, every detail worked together to create something truly special.

One of my favorite parts of photographing Mackenzie + Dakota is how comfortable we’ve become working together. Over the years, they’ve been in front of my camera several times, and there’s an ease that comes with already knowing each other’s rhythms. They know my style, I know theirs, and that trust allows us to create something authentic every single time.

This session wasn’t just about pretty flowers and golden light — it was about capturing their connection in a way that feels real, effortless, and timeless. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do.

If you’re dreaming of your own flower field photoshoot, Bramblewood Farm is one of my absolute favorite spots. The colors, the textures, and the glow are unbeatable — especially if you time it just right for golden hour.
